Head to head

SimpleConsign vs Ricochet

Both are consignment point-of-sale systems with tags, store credit and a consignor portal. They differ in how you pay for them: Ricochet's plans come with its own card processing, and SimpleConsign's Shopify connection comes with its top plan.

Which one fits your shop

Choose SimpleConsign if

You want AI item entry, QuickBooks and Shopify in one plan, and the introductory rate suits you: Professional is $99 a month for 6 months or your first $50K in sales, then $359.

Choose Ricochet if

You want a lower monthly price and are happy to process cards through RicochetPay: plans are $99 to $199 a month, with the consignor portal on every plan. Shopify is a paid add-on, with items synced one by one.

Selling on Shopify? There's a third option

Questions

Which is cheaper, SimpleConsign or Ricochet?

Ricochet's plans are $99 to $199 a month, but they assume you process cards through RicochetPay; keeping your own processor adds $100 a month. SimpleConsign is $159 to $359 a month, with Professional at $99 a month for the first 6 months or $50K in sales.

How do they connect to Shopify?

SimpleConsign includes Shopify on its Professional plan. Ricochet offers Shopify as a paid add-on for Shopify plans above Basic, and you turn on syncing for each item.

Can I keep Shopify POS with either?

Both are their own point of sale, so in-store sales go through their checkout. To keep Shopify POS as your checkout, you need an app that works inside Shopify, such as Consignment Hub.
