Consignment Hub vs Ricochet

Ricochet alternative that runs inside Shopify

Ricochet is a full consignment point of sale with its own card processing, and syncs to Shopify through a paid add-on. Consignment Hub works inside Shopify instead: your products, checkout and Shopify POS stay as they are.

Why shops switch

One system, not two

Ricochet's Shopify sync is switched on item by item, and online sales go through Shopify while in-store sales go through Ricochet. With Consignment Hub, every item and every sale is already in Shopify.

No processing contract

Ricochet's plans are $99 to $199 a month with RicochetPay's card rates, or $100 a month more to keep your own processor. Consignment Hub is free for up to 3 consignors, then $19.99 a month, with the payments you already use in Shopify.

Set up in an afternoon

Set your default split and return window, import your consignors and link your products. Sales are tracked from the next order.

Switching takes an afternoon

  1. Install Consignment Hub from the Shopify App Store. Your products and orders stay where they are.
  2. Import your consignors from a CSV, with what you already owe each one as an opening balance.
  3. Link the products you already sell to their consignors, in bulk from the Shopify product list.
  4. Sales are tracked from then on. Run both apps side by side until you're sure.

Questions

Can I move my consignors from Ricochet?

Yes. Export your consignors to a CSV and import them under Consignors › Import, with what you owe each one as an opening balance. Items already on Shopify can be linked to their consignors in bulk.

Does Consignment Hub have its own point of sale?

No. It uses Shopify POS, so in-store and online sales go through one checkout and one inventory.

Does it print tags like Ricochet?

Each item gets a SKU and barcode made of the consignor's code. Print tags with Shopify's free Retail Barcode Labels app, or any label app you already use.
